Cutting SIBU M50 HGS edge corner moldings
SIBU M 50 moldings are available in a range of colours, but this article is focused on the HGS version, which requires special handling.
Machine cutting
Sawing is expressly recommended for the M 50 HGS molding (mechanical circular saws, 60-tooth saw blade, speed of 4,300 rpm, advance of 30 m/min). The alternative is the use of a paper-cutting machine (knife cut). Important is that sawing cutting takes place with the decorative side.
Manual cutting
The profile must be laid on a solid ground with the reserve side up, which is cut (this is opposite side to the decorative surface). The profile is then bent off. Subsequently, the profile must again be laid on the ground and the cutting edge should be carefully trimmed on the decorative side.
